Pics: Martha’s Vineyard summer House then and now
Today while looking for something I never found, I came across a few pictures of my Martha’s Vineyard Summer House, built in 1976, taken back in the summer of 1983. An ‘82 Audi Quattro and an ‘83 Mercedes, I think by Gama, and the Solido Land Rover 109 which is still up there were in the yard. In 1991 the guest house and three bay garage was built. Thanks to Graeme Ogg who touched up the lawn with his photo shop technique last summer, the bottom picture shows the compound as it was last September (lawn in front of house touched in. Nice touch Graeme.) The main house has undergone revisions over the years including an added porch in 1989. The cars have kept up with the times. And yes, the weathered shingles are individually applied. It’s interesting to see how the trees in the background have grown over the years. Have posted many images of cars up here over the years but these show the place as it has evolved. Will be back in June.
