Hi Guys. A bit of background - Chris Sweetman kindly provided an informative
history of diecast and handbuilt models, at least 2 pages worth that appeared in my book, "GM in Miniature". Chris got into ZAMAK and MAZAK and the differences between moulds for white metal and diecast stampings. Its a wonderful overview. Veloce Publishing who published my first two "in Miniature" books, offer preview pages on their website which includes a brief introduction on pg.7 by Chris, then handily omits his article and jumps to pg. 12 where I think I am talking about specific handbuilts from Chevrolet or some such thing. Its a great sampler but Chris' contribution is shortchanged. I would love to post it here but my new Mac operating system doesn't acknowledge my scanner and so I am out of luck sharing hs article or anything else I would have scanned in the past.BTW, I haven't heard from Chris for ages. He was a frequent contributor to this forum as well as an avid 1:64 supporter.
