Brooklin Diaries for May 31
"Hyvää päivää, Bonjour, Hola, Zdravstvuyte, Nǐn hǎo, Salve, Konnichiwa, Guten Tag, Olá, Anyoung haseyo, Asalaam alaikum and G’day to you all. (Yes Google Translate was our friend today)

We have another exciting look behind the scenes at how we make our models for you. Come on in and see what we are doing.

PATTERN MAKING – SARAH
The long awaited (and we know it has been a long time) BML 30, 1938 Cadillac Imperial Sedan Limo, is edging ever closer. Sarah has just finished making the window pattern for it (the grey blob on the right). We just need to make a mould of this to cast more copies and the windows can be made.

PATTERN MAKING – SARAH
The LDM 106 brass master/pattern (1936 Bentley 4 1/4 Litre 4-door Saloon) is having a little work done. Sarah will solder on the new baseplate information plate later. We think that will look better than writing on each one with a black marker pen.

CASTING ROOM – ANDY B
Several moulds are in the oven, preheating. Our moulds work best when they are a certain temperature. Doing his means the first castings come out fully formed, rather than waiting for it to warm up during casting.

BODY CASTING – ANDY B
We told you that the BML 30 is getting closer. Andy has nearly finished casting all of the bodies.

SMALL PARTS CASTING – MARK R
The BRK 207P, the pink version of our 1960 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe, needs some seats.
Mark has come to the rescue.

FETTLING – ANDY C
Some of those BML 30 bodies have already been sanded.

FINAL ASSEMBLY – ANGIE
Some of our new Bare Metal versions of the Airstream Wanderer caravan (BRK 54M) are ready to be boxed.

PAINT ROOM – TIM
We are doing some colour testing on our new BRK 228, a 1956 Buick Century 4-door Hardtop.
There are some nice chrome strips down the sides of these.

FINAL ASSEMBLY – JAMES
These models are all done and ready to be boxed. James is just giving them one final check over before they are boxed."
