October 20 1/43 show in Chicago
As many of you already know, many of our favorite dealers and friendly faces will be attending the Countryside Collector's Classic Toy Show on October 20 in Chicago. It's a familiar venue on a new date. Traveling conditions will be far more favorable than in March and we're all hoping to see more of our 1/43 friends and acquaintances than ever before.

We will be making some major 1/43 announcements running up to the show and a few during the weekend as well. So, Chicago will be the place to be in October.

Here's how the weekend is shaping up, so far.

Friday evening - dinner at Wolfe's Head Restaurant and Bar
for those early arrivals.
Saturday Morning - Breakfast in downtown Chicago then and informal gathering at Jeff Lane's place with spectacular views of the city and Jeff's amazing collection of white metal models.
Later Saturday morning visit to Klairmont Kollections, a fascinating museum with over 300 very specail vehicles.Bring your camera!
Saturday Evening - Pizza dinner for all who can join us.
Sunday 10 AM - 2 PM - show at Countryside.

Tom Kinney and Frank Racibozynski will be coordinating meals and activities. Jeff Lane will host the Saturday morning breakfast. Let them know if you're planning on being there.

We'll be sharing a list of dealers in the coming weeks.

As usual, there will be a Forum 43 Hospitality booth. We have a lot of activity planned for the booth which will be sponsored by The Diecast Zone this year (many thanks to Kevin McGrath!). Watch for announcements in the coming weeks.

Here's what we can tell you so far; Dick Browne's legendary 1:43 Chrismas tree will be on display. There will be giveaways and door prizes from Legacy Motors, Minichamps and others. We'll have some prototypes and one-offs on display as well. A few of our 1:43 friends will have some models for sale.

And, of course, what weekend in Chicago would be complete without a very special appearance of one of the most stunningly beautiful scale models ever produced,

There will be other surprises and events throughout the weekend. Rumors and innuendo abound! Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more info as the date approaches!!
