On the Airstream, yes, it reminds me of the bare metal ((aluminum alloy) campers of the 1960s. But
on the boats or other cars, I would prefer the more realistic paint. It is nice to see the details if I had the room and budget for one...

Of course, wooden boats are a bit different!
