I believe whitewalls were perfect for this car, in 1951, when it was new. Just like whitewalls are shown on all of the 1953-54 Corvettes, and 1955-57 Thundeerbirds.You have to go with what was popular in that era. The only time Black tires are shown in advertising and in manufacturers brochures, is in 1952, because of the Korean war. I personally like whitewalls on most all cars of the era from 1937 up, except for low priced models. Just my own preference, of course. Same with fender skirts, love them on most cars, and sun visors, dislike them tremendously on all cars.
