Some do think they can make money with these little models until
they learn there is a lot to know here. Case in point: I have a nephew who travelled with me to the big mid-western swap meets back in the 80's and he was bitten by the interest in these little gems. But he just didn't get the idea of collecting, he only saw the selling at a profit that occurred. And didn't understand the basics of supply and demand. Now I've been a 1/43 collector and builder for a lot of years and still do not know the supply secrets, so how can I guess at the demand? Even my running the Strictly 43rd Shows for 15 years hasn't given me a handle on value. I really admire those sellers who can stay at it for so long. Profitably.
