Minimarque is not related to Top Marques although its founder Max Kernick had
dealings over the years with Richard Briggs who was the founder of Mini Marque 43. The "Marque" in the titles of their companies/lines can confuse one.

In Ray Strutt and David Wright's comprehensive 266 page history, A History of White Metal Transport Modelling, they do an impressive job describing Max Kernick's contribution to the hobby.

Kernick was an MG enthusiast who got his model mogul start by creating a viable MG replica in 1:43. The rest, as they say, is history.
