USPS in the model car sales business
The USPS 2020 first quarter catalog arrived this morning with revealing info on a line of 1/64 Greenlight collectibles offered at $5.99 each. A 1969 Dodge Charger, a 1967 Shelby Cobra & a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda are the selections. These are in addition to a line of postal vehicles also available in various scales including 1:43, a Ford Crown Victoria.

This is a surprise for me to some extent as they seem to want expansion in merchandising. It makes me wonder as they have made collecting postal stamps much more expensive and complex by discriminating against the small collector making it necessary to purchase stamps in a quantity that is unnecessary and too expensive for the ordinary collector. Of course, this is good for dealers who could provide for the needs of those collectors for a fee etc.

In any case, there are 10 model car offerings in their most recent catalog.
