Abingdon Classics
Harvey, Just want to let you know, Abingdon Classics was how I got started importing models from overseas. I was attending a toy show in Strasburg, PA, when I saw some very neat MG TC & TD models on a vendor's table. I kept going back many times until I had memorized the name and address on the boxes the models were next to. I wrote to them and John Roff replied. I started importing directly from him. Max Kernick was with him originally, but I believe they had split up. I have many models of MG Pre War, TC, TD, A & B, Triumphs, AC 3000, and HRG. Also, some K&R Replicas, maybe others. This was around 1977-78. Does that ring a bell with you. It took off from there, with Brooklin, Western, Kenna, Minimarque, Top Marques, and so on. A great ride with many British companies in the very beginning. Brooklin, at the time was still in Canada.
