MCM Christian Gouel of France
Back in the day, when I was a younger man, I imported many, many handbuilt models from throughout the world, but mostly from France and Great Britain. This is before China entered the picture. Mostly, these were very small manufacturers, of just one or two people. I was put in touch with Christian Gouel, proprietor of MCM models. in Rouen, France. He did incredible work.
I understand he sold his company to Andre Fournier in October of 2000. I kept a few of his models, 15 to be exact, and I'm showing one that is a favorite. Ref.#05, Talbot Type 90 "London" 1930 Le Mans speedster, I think from 1981.

Photos are not the best, didn't know I was going to publish on the Forum.
