...the earliest p/e wheels I remember were in a Wills Finecast kit of the MG K3. Not as fine as PM or BBR wheels, but p/e nonetheless. This must go back to the early 1970s, before PM kits appeared. Also, the PM wheels also appeared on the Novi Indy racer, but I don't recall if this came before or after the Corvette.
