When I left the Army I went to college. And when I left college I wanted
to sell cars. And so I started selling Buicks in 1967. In our town folks bought more Buicks than Chevrolets back then. But I learned that the factory, GM, was slow to get vinyl roofs in production. And many dealers in bigger cities had shops putting various colors of roofs on new cars. With quality too. In 1964 certainly there were several quality top shops catering to the dealers. It took GM a little while to catch on. And they did.
