Newest member of my woodie community,
a 1946 Delahaye 135 GUILLORE BREAK DE CHASSE. is #33 of 80 models produced by MA Collection#117. When I received this model it was in one piece and as soon as I lifted it's clear plastic lid from the base it's parts started to rain off it. I honestly don't know why this didn't happen from the postal handling. The glue was totally brittle. Twenty parts later and some Formula 560 canopy glue I got it together again. Should be fine now. BTW Formula 55 is the only glue I will use as when dried if the parts are bumped into hard enough they usually stay with the model and and at least you don't loose them. The glue has a certainly elastic quality to it. I think this is a very unique car which is swoopy like other Delahaye's. I understand that this car was made by Delahaye for a French race car driver as a gift. The real car was at Pebble Beach in 2001. A nice addition to my European "woodies".
