(PICS) KM1's 1960 Opel Olympia models in 1/32 scale
KM1, a German company, makes detailed model railroad equipment for G-scale layouts (mostly 1/32 ) and these 1960 Opel vehicles were therefore manufactured in that size as well.
Although they make a few other 1960 OPELs, the ones that Ive collected over the last few years include the 2-door sedan, the 4-door sedan, the Caravan (wagon), and the panel delivery Caravan (sedan delivery), all of which include complete interiors, poseable steering, opening front doors, and in the case of the Caravans, opening liftgates. Trim is finished in crisp foil, door shut lines are very tight, a sheet of potential European license plates is included with each model, and the models come mounted on a plastic base with a clear dust cover.
Since these are also intended for garden railway layouts, I suspect that the plastics used may be UV and weather resistant, though I have no intention of putting that to the test.
Ive mounted my four models in an old Zippo Lighter lockable, point of sale display case, a few of which I obtained quite a few years ago for just such use.
