I have no idea how a license works, or what the terms typically are. When a
company such as Brooklin or Goldvarg obtains a license, or essentially permission to model the cars, does the license-holder have to pay a royalty to the grantor?

Or is the license free, so long as the grantor is happy with the product? Can anyone enlighten me (us?). Any copywriter lawyers around?
