One more try, Robert. It may help in your future searching. (pic)

"This is made by Renwal. Renwal is famous for plastic models during the 1950s, and I've seen various renditions of this car in plastic over the years, but what struck me is this model is cast metal. Renwal only made cast metal models for one year, I want to say 1954, but it may have been a year or two later. Most sellers list this as "futuristic car" or some such because they are not familiar with the real car. This is actually a pretty darn close representation for the time of the 1936 Type C aerodynamic, and if I am not mistaken this is the type of vehicle Bernd Rosemeyer was driving that fateful day."

I apologize for not solving your mystery, but I've had fun with the process. Good luck in your search, and please post the results here when you find your answer. Enjoy! David
