Pic: I didn't care for GMC styling in the '50s with the exception being 1957
In'57 it is the Cadillac, Oldsmobile, and the Pontiac in that order, are beautiful to me. But the Buick in '57 just did nothing for me, the bumper ends are way too big and out of proportion and I just don't care for the side chrome that is a big check mark diving to the rear wheels. The Chevy in '57 the fins just stuck out too far in the back to suite my taste and the side chrome was just too much on the Bel Air, the cheap models looked better.

All 4 corners the bumper too big, Side chrome big check mark, and the vertical grill all leave me cold.

The fins just protrude too far back of the trunk and the side chrome just too much for my taste

Side trim much better for my taste, don't care for the tu tone though..

It's a TIE for me. Not fond of either color combo though. Now if you were to ask me which by George Schire #39655.1.2

The '55, much cleaner-looking to my eye. Also greatly prefer that color vs. the '57. (EOM) by Barry Levittan #39655.2
Like 'em both, John, but the '57 Starchief has a slight edge. Thanks. (EOM) by Terry Daly #39655.3
The '57, but I'm not wild about the color shown. (EOM) by Brian Cox #39655.4
55, 57 and 56 - I like them all equally so it would be a tie (EOM) by John Roberts #39655.5
57 for performance (EOM) by George Burgess #39655.6
'57. (EOM) by Frank Kocour #39655.7
'57 all the way. It and the '58 are tied for my favorite of the fifties. (EOM) by Michael Rodriguez #39655.8
1957 (not a great color combo). The 1955 looks outdated esp with the suspenders on the hood. (EOM) by Tim Kubiak #39655.9
1957. IMO this year is when Pontiac started out of their styling slump. (EOM) by Ed Glorius #39655.10
57 please (EOM) by Bruce Parsons #39655.11
Tie for today! (EOM) by Randy Portwood #39655.12
Love both but the refined '55 gets my pick. It looks like TFM issue. (EOM) by John Bono #39655.13
the 57 for an edge in performance (EOM) by Ron Dietrich #39655.14
I am not crazy about either one. I will take a pass. (EOM) by Gary Rockwood #39655.15
