PICS: Brooklin Diaries for Nov 22
Taken direct from the website:

LDM 123. BML 29, 14 and 04. BRK 213 and 218. A week full of codes, or better: full of wonderful cars.

Our list is not finished yet, this week we’re working on a special project. Which one? That’s a secret, folks!

Wait and see what Brooklin Models has planned for you…

Enjoy the new blog post from Brooklin Diaries and have a nice weekend!

FINAL ASSEMBLY – JULIE AND ANGIE
BML14 (the red ones) and BML04 (the not red ones) are about half way through assembly.
Assembly of a batch of models can take anywhere from 4 days to a week or more, depending on the level of detail to be glued on.

SUB ASSEMBLY – MARK C
More LDM123 (1935 Brough Superior 8) models are on the way. These axles are drying before the tyres can be put on.

PATTERN MAKING – SARAH
With Darren and Mr P working on some more new (secret) projects, Sarah is the star of the show again. She is working on the BRK218, a 1970 Buick GS 455 Convertible. She is working on a few strengthening pieces so she is marking out the pieces on to a sheet of brass.

MOULD MAKING – NEIL
It’s not very often that a photo is taken of this process. Neil is applying a fine graphite powder to one half of a mould. Without this barrier layer, the two halves of the mould would fuse together.
A fused mould results in a very expensive block of rubber with even more expensive brass masters inside.

SMALL PARTS CASTING – MARK R
Do you remember these resin blocks form a week or so ago?
They make the wire brushing of this tonneau’s visible surface easier.
The pieces fits snuggly into the block meaning that Mark’s fingers don’t get scoured.

BODY CASTING – ANDY B
This is the 1970 Buick GS 455, but this our hardtop version.

PLATING CASTING – JIM
These are lower side strips for a new model, the BML29 – a 1942 DeSoto 4-door Sedan.
The large frame around the outside is to keep them straight when they are plated.

PLATING CASTING – DAVE
Super-delicate windscreens for the Riva Aquarama. These require very careful clean-up and handling.

PAINT ROOM – TIM
More clean up here too. Tim is preparing the surface of these BRK213 Corvair Greenbrier seatpans.
