The log bridge was typical for the logging and coal industries.
The tracks and everything related were temporary and designed to be moved from location to location. They'd even run through shallow streams relying on the weight of the rolling stock and engines to stay on the tracks. They'd move everything as needed from area to area until the had stripped all the raw material and then move on to the next site.
