The Windhoff

Dolo JB
Was an awkward looking vehicle created by BDG in France by three men, Brun, Dolo and Galtier who displayed a prototype at the Paris Motor Show in 1947.

It was proposed to be a front-wheel drive two-seater with domed cabin cover and powered by a DOHC 592cc flat-four (23hp) engine with a four-speed transmission.
A larger four-seat car Dolo JB-20 proposed, with an engine specification that suggested two of the JB-10 engines would be combined to form a 1184cc flat-eight producing 44hp?

Quite a lot of controversy surrounded the prototype, as it was never heard running, but despite this, BDG did manage to take a claimed 200 reservations and deposits for the car, but soon after Brun, Dolo, and Galtier were gone, along with everyone’s deposit money, with the company wound-up by the courts in 1948.

Unfortunately, it would appear that the trio were unable to fulfil their claims and although there is no real proof that it was a scam, did take every ones money.

Years later, the Dolo was allegedly found and confirmed that it was just a model, with no actual mechanicals.
