In 1953 we had an uncle, a commercial artist, who brought his new red
Studebaker over to our house and me, the car guy, really thought it was an import, probably German. (I was all of ten ears old). We all rode around the block in it and still were definitely impressed. I still think those early 53's were their best styled. Later years came the fins and the Packard name. Ugh!
