The first Imperial kit with engine was 1962.
Prior to that they had sealed hoods and no engine. AMT or SMP would have been the manufacturer. A white 1959 Buick would have been AMT. That kit was reissued in the mid 1960s but I think they were molded in colors other than white.

I built a 1959 Buick and Imperial as a kid; they were AMT. (EOM) by Jack Dodds #45429.2
