I hated Country, when Country wasn’t cool…17 points awarded to first 5 responders
A few posts on here today, from contributors John” The K-man”... also... “Sometimes Angry Bruce” ...aka... “The Island Philosopher” ...and ..the always pertinent “Dick Johnson” who does not HAVE a nickname, but seems to thrive without one (is this gonna be another run-on sentence?) have centered around what I consider to be Country Music.

Born in `51 I was no fan of Country Music from the age of 13 on. The Beatles took care of that.

Now, I thoroughly enjoy a listen to Chet Atkins (with Mark Knopfler or Suzy Bogguss in particular) and…are you ready for this….Miss Brenda Lee (there are much better offerings than what I`m linking....but how confident do you have to be to perform like this at such an age?)

What Great great music!!..and it’s been there since the (relative) dawn of time…are there Country Artists that you began to appreciate in your +60 years?

***Turn it up to the point where the cat raises his ears and get wide eyed***
