It's interesting how great that Hawk looks today. In 1958 it was so
out-dated that very few buyers paid any attention to it. Studebaker had introduced that body in 1953 and put the upright grill on it for 1956. The fins just grew over the years. And Studebaker never even attempted to graft a wrap-around windshield on the coupe. It was the '58 Thunderbird with its back seats that caught buyers' eyes. Well, a few of us moaned over the loss of the 2 passenger T-Bird. Today, I would jump at the Studebaker. . . well, maybe.
