Proposed airport in Oak Ridge, to be built on the old K-25 site.
K-25 was a gas centrifuge production site for separation of U-235 from U-238 during WW2 up until about 25-30 years ago. It sat for a long time before demolition of the main buildings. One of these was U-shaped and the largest in the world at the time - about a mile from one end of the U to the other. Obviously a lot of environmental cleanup, and some demolition is still going on.

The proposed race track is on property that was part of the K-25 site but never used for anything.
