I rather liked the Corvair. I've never seen one in the flesh, though let alone
never having driven a Convair either.
I know you guys have a good understanding of the causes that made the cars design that courted such controversy.
One point made by JK I thought was particularly interesting, was that people did not know how to drive the Corvairs safely.
There was apparently little or no understanding of the cars characteristics - making them unsafe.
It does seem odd to me that a mass produced car, because of it's quirky habits required a course of instruction before it could be driven safely on the road.

I think that it's a pity really because the Corvair had so much potential as a class leader, however this was not to be and like the Edsel before it, was sneered at when the car was new, only to be garnished with praise nearly fifty years latter.
