The “Autobar” was invented in 1956 and could mix and dispense a drink in just three seconds; a “selection of liquor, mix, ice and proportions activates automatic controls and you can have the drink of your choice. Constructed at a cost of $4,000, about $31,700 in current dollars, the bar weighs 200 lbs., is 44 inches high, 36 inches wide and 22 inches deep.
