You've jogged some motorsport memories with this one, John.
At one time I traveled with friends to watch track racing held by the MG Car Club in a pleasantly rural setting they named, Manfield. Mostly the cars were too underpowered and the track too challenging for there to be any excitement. In addition to falling asleep in the hot sun, one of the ways I enjoyed coping with the tedium was watching farm girls eat corn dogs.
