I don't know where the Lincoln bodies were built but the 58, 59 and 60 Thunderbird bodies were built
by the Budd Company in Butler , Pa. All Lincolns and Thunderbirds of this era were assembled in the Wixom, Mi plant. It's my understanding that to work in this plant, you had to prove yourself in other plants before you were accepted to work there. It amazes me that they could build two different vehicles on the same assembly line before computers.
