You're right Steve. Initially it was offered with the V12...
but then buyers had to make do with a 6. The car was too late for its market being too big and cumbersome. Reliability was another issue. At the Gaydon Museum there are around ten prototype Jaguar sports and sorting cars, many of which would have done very well. Unfortunately the XJ220 is not remembered with a great deal of affection.
